Georgetown Community Honors 9/11 Victims with Climb

On September 11, 2023, members of the Georgetown Police Department and Georgetown Fire Department, along with personnel from the Temple Police Academy and other organizations, participated in a memorial climb to honor the victims of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks. This annual event has been held since 2011, marking the tenth anniversary of the attacks.

The Georgetown community took a moment to remember the first responders and rescuers who lost their lives, as well as the families affected by the tragedy. Additionally, the Home Depot employees provided breakfast for the participants, contributing to the commemorative event. The Georgetown Police Department shared this information via a post on their social media platform, emphasizing the importance of remembrance on this significant day.
